2018/19 NEICKO

item1a8item1a2aitem1a3aitem1a4aitem1a5aitem1a6aitem1a7a

The executive have met and decided that the format that I used for this year's competition was wrong,
and most importantly would not allow the award of green points.

The basic order of the draw will remain the same, but the matches will be played as follows.

Graham Cox will play Sue Davies in round 1.
2 matches of 24 boards. Home and away in the draw order.
To be played by the end of January 2019.

Winner will play Val Gibson in round 2.
2 matches of 24 boards. Home and away in the draw order.
To be played by 31 March 2019.

Frank Springett will play David Morrison in round 1.
2 matches of 24 boards. Home and away in the draw order.
To be played by the end of January 2019

Winner will play Steve Ray in round 2. Home and away in the draw order.
To be played by 31 March 2019.

The two losers in round 1 will play each other for the Kempson Plate.

Winners of round 2 will play each other in the final.
This is to be played over 48 boards, and can either be played home and away in draw order,
or over 48 boards at a venue to be agreed. To be played by 31 May 2019.

I hope that's all clear

Regards

David

Addendum to rules for NEICKO Competition

Hi Folks

1.  Only losers in the first round of the main competition will go into the Kempson Plate.

2. Semi finals in the main event will be 32 boards.

3. To clarify, there will be a draw for the semi final places in the main competition.

4.  The top mentioned team will be the home team, unless they were at home the round before, and their opponents were away, in which case they will swop over.

I'm afraid that the Hexham team will not be taking part in the competition.

David
