A GOOD DEAL on EBAY
About 18 months ago Stockton Bridge Club purchased 18 BridgematePro tablets (the old type) from Dorchester Bridge club (an eBay purchase, £200).
Recently we decided we could afford an upgrade and bought 10 brand new items (costing about £1,400).
I posted the old units for resale on E Bay but had no takers and was about to give up, when, at the eleventh hour they were bought by a Bridge Club in Warsaw for the same price we paid 18 months earlier. . . . a very happy ending! Steve Woodward

There is a great opportunity to introduce your students to friendly competitive duplicate bridge, to experience the the sociability of a big Bridge Congress AND enjoy a delicious Sunday Lunch with old and new friends at the MARRIOTT HOTEL in Gateshead. It is the 2nd year that NEBA have run this Newcomers event and the feedback from last year was excellent. It does however rely on teachers to positively encourage students to participate. Similarly, ALL NEBA players can help by suggesting, to friends who only play sociably, or in golf clubs or other non-affiliated clubs, that this might be a new and pleasurable experience. Please twist arms - or at least, spread the word!!!

2018 NEBA CONGRESS REMINDER
Trawling through some old stuff, I found this advert for the NEBA Congress in 2004 - which was probably at Otterburn with Susan Green as Congress Secretary.
It provides a good opportunity to remind you of this year's congress on November 2nd-4th, and that there are only a couple of days left to book special rates at the Marriott Hotel if you are staying there.
(and another from 2002)
